In the city of Tripoli, northern Lebanon, one man decided to take it upon himself to beautify his small street.

Issa Al-Qasim, a coffee seller, craftsman, and father of three, runs a modest roadside coffee stand from 6 p.m. until midnight, trying to earn his daily living. But nine months ago, he could no longer bear the sight of the dry, neglected, and unsightly street, so he decided to take matters into his own hands.

He began building miniature architectural models around the tree trunks, saying: “I’m creating something like a city—a house and a garden.”
Since childhood, Issa loved dismantling his toys to discover how they worked. As a teenager, his passion for traditional crafts grew, and he dreamed of traveling and working in this field, but the opportunity never came.

Today, Issa hopes to find someone who will support him so he can continue his project and decorate the entire street as he imagines it—beautiful and full of small details.
